Servers

The weather never stops... 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In return this means our servers need to respond to this level of constant demand.
Metcheck host our data farm on the most modern technology available. The data is placed on load balanced Windows 2003 servers. The servers are hosted on an OC48 backbone with redundant connections as well as 24/7 network and server monitoring.

Weather Data

Much of the forecast data comes from the GFS (Global Forecast System) datasets which are prepared at Metcheck HQ from raw data available from NOAA.
The rainfall and lightning data is processed at Metcheck HQ from our own network of sensors and information from the latest satellites.

Internet

Metcheck is the only weather data farm on the internet. Our knowledge of running one of the busiest websites in the UK ensures that we are well placed to issue raw weather data in the most convenient and data-friendly way possible.
